Experiments in Scene Study
Exploration of how a location can transcend its role as mere backdrop to become a dynamic character within a narrative. By immersing myself in the environment without a predefined script, I aimed to uncover the emotional and narrative potentials inherent in the space. This approach allowed the location's unique qualities—its mood, textures, and rhythms — to inform and shape the story organically.
Comings and Goings is a visual exploration of entrances and exits — how characters arrive, depart, and what transpires in the spaces between. This exercise delves into the choreography of movement, the weight of presence, and the subtle narratives that unfold through transitions.
ALLO is a focused exploration of storytelling within the confines of a single, continuous scene. Set in the liminal space of an office, the film follows a young woman attempting to make an important phone call. Through deliberate composition and pacing, the exercise examines how a solitary moment can encapsulate a narrative's depth and emotional resonance.
